Job Shadowing Opportunity:
PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY

For a day, students with a disability and students without a disability had the opportunity to walk in the shoes of the person that represents the face of Nesbit Elementary School – the Principal Mr. Clayborn Knight. Nesbit's job shadowing opportunity provided a first-hand look at what it takes for a principal to successfully manage the educational needs of thousands of students on a day-to-day basis. The job of a principal requires the ability to appropriately balance the needs of students and parents as well as the capacity to secure needed resources for staff to best educate students in a safe and secure environment making it conducive for teaching and learning. Three very fortunate students, Justin, Lehander, and Ambreen from Nesbit Elementary School were selected by the Principal to participate in the job shadowing opportunity for the day!
